Job description

The organisation

The Institute of Sports Humanities (ISH), founded in 2019, runs industry leading higher and executive education programmes.

ISH’s mission is to nurture and inspire the current and future leaders of sport through smart thinking, enabling braver and more progressive leadership. ISH has educated leaders from across the sports industry – professionals working across elite sporting organisations, governing bodies, clubs, leagues and athletes.

ISH runs an innovative Strategic Sport Leadership MA, an interdisciplinary programme, in partnership with St Mary’s University London, and has also partnered with Loughborough University, University of Buckingham and Melbourne Business School and is now expanding in the UK and internationally with a number of new partnerships including a world-leading educational institute and a major international sports federation.

The role

ISH is seeking a Programme Coordinator to work on ISH’s partnerships and portfolio of programmes. This role would be responsible for the implementation and delivery of all aspects across programmes.

The role is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing organisation, broaden your knowledge of the global sports industry, work with leading sports organisations and educational institutes.

Responsibilities

· Manage the day-to-day delivery of programmes, including candidate enquiries, applications and admissions, client management, student communications and programme coordination.

· Coordinate and oversee the delivery of programme events (online and in person), including guest management, venue liaison (e.g. British Army, Twickenham and Lord's Cricket Ground), budgeting and scheduling.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners through regular, proactive communication.

· Prepare and deliver high-quality reports, presentations and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

· Support wider organisational projects and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation as required.

· Lead regular project status meetings and manage action plans to ensure timely delivery.

· Coordinate alumni engagement initiatives and ongoing alumni communications.

· Manage ISH's digital platforms, including the website, Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and social media channels.

· Coordinate assessment, examination and moderation processes across programmes.

· Provide marketing support as required.

· Work closely with senior colleagues to strengthen existing partnerships and support the development of new business opportunities.

We are looking for

· An understanding of the global and UK sports industry landscape – a passion for sports is desirable, but not essential

· An undergraduate degree (2:1 or above), or equivalent professional experience.

· An energetic, self-starter with the ability to work effectively under pressure

· The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team, as required

· Project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously

· The ability to build excellent client relationships, generate ideas and solve problems

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in presenting to client stakeholders of all levels

· The ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and flawless delivery

· A strong understanding of social media is preferred but not essential

We can offer

· An exciting and challenging role offering an opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, dynamic and pioneering sports organisation

· Attractive benefits and a competitive salary for the right candidate

· A flexible working environment – based remotely. There may also be requirements for occasional national and international travel
