Optimisation Analyst Location: Edinburgh, Scotland At Schneider Electric, we help our customers make the most of their energy and resources. We're looking for an Optimisation Analyst to support the delivery of value for our clients by combining energy market intelligence, data analysis, operational coordination, and strong stakeholder collaboration. In this role, you'll work closely with our Optimisation Consultants and cross-functional teams to identify, progress, and help realise cost optimisation opportunities for our clients' UK and European energy portfolios. You'll support the journey from data mining and opportunity identification through to implementation and invoicing, while helping build trusted relationships with customer, energy industry and internal stakeholders across Europe. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with data, bringing structure to moving parts, and helping turn analysis into impactful outcomes for clients. We offer flexible working arrangements. At the same time, this role is expected to be based in the Edinburgh office at least 3 days per week. What will you do * Coordinate the team's revenue tracking and reporting activities, including maintaining revenue files, preparing management summaries and leading team revenue review calls * Support client onboarding and ongoing delivery activities across a portfolio of customers * Help prepare reports, analyses, and client-ready materials that support optimisation reviews and recommendations * Progress optimisation opportunities from identification through to implementation and invoicing * Coordinate with internal teams to gather the data and inputs needed for analysis, savings confirmation, and billing * Design and manage data mining projects to identify cost optimisation opportunities across our installed base of clients, leveraging market research and AI tools * Work with customers, suppliers, grid companies, and internal stakeholders to keep actions moving and resolve issues in a timely way * Support client meetings, including preparation of materials and presenting selected topics where appropriate * Generate custom reports and extract relevant data from internal systems to support reviews and decision-making * Maintain accurate team and client information and help ensure work is tracked effectively across multiple priorities * Contribute to a collaborative team environment by working closely with colleagues across functions and geographies What will help you succeed * Experience in an analytical, operational, customer support, or project coordination role * Strong Excel skills, including using data for analysis, reporting, and tracking * Confidence working with detailed data while keeping sight of the wider client outcome * Clear verbal and written communication skills in English * Ability to build effective working relationships with customers, energy industry contacts and internal stakeholders * Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities * Follow-through and resilience when working through complex tasks or chasing inputs across several parties * A degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent professional experience * Additional European language skills such as French, German, Spanish, or Italian would be an advantage but are not essential What you can expect from us * A meaningful role in a global organisation focused on innovation, sustainability, and customer impact * Opportunities to grow your career and develop new skills in an international environment * Flexible working approaches to support work-life balance * Ongoing learning and development opportunities * A collaborative culture built on inclusion, performance, and shared success * A competitive salary and benefits package Ready to launch your project planning career with us? For this UK based position, the expected pay range is GBP 32,000 - GBP 48,000 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives.
