The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Visual Arts Teacher to join our Art department, working across the whole school. This is an exciting opportunity to drive excellent teaching and learning in Visual Arts across the IB PYP and MYP, and to contribute to a creative, inquiry-driven learning community.
We are looking for a talented teacher with a focus on:

  • Delivering High-Quality Instruction: Teaching engaging and inquiry-based PYP and MYP Visual Arts lessons that develop students' creative, technical and analytical skills.
  • Creating a Dynamic Learning Environment: Encouraging exploration, experimentation and independent learning, fostering a love for the visual arts across K-12.
  • Working with Diverse Learners: Confidently working with K-12 students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds, adopting a modern, inquiry-based and student-centred approach to art education.
  • Assessing and Supporting Student Growth: Designing and implementing a range of formative and summative assessments to track progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Collaborating Across the School Community: Working closely with fellow educators, students, and parents to support student learning and well-being.
  • Contributing to the Wider School Community: Participating fully in extra-curricular activities, school events, exhibitions and initiatives that enrich students' educational experience.

What We Are Looking For

  • A recognised teaching qualification and significant experience teaching Visual Arts across primary and lower secondary phases.
  • Familiarity with the IB PYP and MYP curriculum frameworks.
  • Confidence working with K-12 students from diverse cultural and language backgrounds.
  • A commitment to a modern, inquiry-based, student-centred approach to art education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • A commitment to student-centred learning, differentiation, and inclusive classroom practices.
  • Strong organisational skills, a good sense of humour and a genuine enthusiasm for extra-curricular school life.
  • The ability to meet visa and work permit-related requirements for Ireland.
