Job description
AML & Conflicts Assistant (6 Month Fixed Term Contract) Department: General Counsel and Risk Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract Location: Birmingham Reporting To: Georgie Lury Description Join Trowers & Hamlins on a 6 month fixed term contract and develop a career in legal compliance as part of our Business Intake Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and an interest in risk and compliance to gain exposure to AML and conflicts processes within a leading international law firm. The Role This role supports the firms client onboarding and compliance processes, ensuring AML and conflicts checks are completed accurately and efficiently. * Assist with AML checks and client due diligence reviews. * Conduct client and matter research using screening tools and databases. * Verify information submitted by fee earners and support staff. * Respond to enquiries and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process. * Carry out conflicts searches and identify potential issues. * Support the wider Risk & Compliance Team with administrative and compliance-related tasks. The Candidate Were looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is keen to develop within legal compliance. * Graduate, or someone with previous compliance experience. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * Able to work independently and collaboratively. * Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities. * High level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems. * Positive, adaptable and eager to learn.
