Job description
Job Title: Doctor Functional Assessor Location: Bangor (Wales) Salary: £72,000 per annum Job Type: Hybrid / Permanent / Mon-Fri, 9-5 hours Job Overview Great opportunities: full-time, part-time, hybrid, and school-time-hours roles We’re looking for a broad based GMC registered Doctor who enjoy making a difference in peoples lives every day. If you are looking for a break from shift work or are seeking a new, exciting career opportunity to develop and enhance your medical skills, and still be able to utilise your medical skills but differently, helping people, apply and become a Functional Assessor. You will carry out assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. What we look for: * An GMC-registered Doctor with at least 1 year’s broad post-registration experience in the UK * A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills * Someone comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports * An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions This role is a great opportunity for registered Doctors to develop their clinical knowledge and hone their assessment skills further, all while helping people move forward with their lives.
