We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative Foundation Apprenticeship Trainer – Automotive to join our dynamic Foundation Apprenticeship Team. This role involves delivering high-quality vocational training within secondary schools across Aberdeenshire, supporting young people to develop practical skills and knowledge aligned to industry standards.
The successful candidate will deliver the Automotive Foundation Apprenticeship, which is currently established across the region and offers learners valuable pathways into employment, further education, and apprenticeships.
Foundation Apprenticeships have become an incredibly successful part of Aberdeenshire’s Senior phase curriculum offer, driving significant increases in levels of achievement and having positive and significant transformational impacts on the opportunities and life chances for our young people. We welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who wish to become a part of the team and help continue to build upon this success.
Please note that this is a part-time position - 21.75 hours per week. Whilst in future there may be some flexibility, at present the days of work will be Tuesday -Thursday
You will be required to deliver programmes of learning in appropriate Foundation Apprenticeship subject areas to groups of students, in accordance with the national Scottish Qualification Agency (SQA) and Skills Development Scotland (SDS) by providing support, guidance and advice to service users, Council staff and local companies, as part of the wider Foundation Apprenticeship team.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation
