About TAG
TAG Catering Equipment UK has been designing, supplying, and installing commercial kitchens and bar fit-outs since 1988, working with some of the most respected names in hospitality — from independent restaurants and Michelin-starred kitchens to five-star hotels and high-profile venue operators.
We deliver full turnkey projects, from initial design through to installation and final sign-off, combining in-house design, bespoke fabrication, and a full construction and M&E capability. Projects range from £10k single-installation works to £1.5m full fit-outs.
The Role
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to add to our project delivery team. You'll manage a complex programme of works — kitchen and bar installation, M&E, walls, floors, ceilings, and associated building works — either running several projects concurrently or leading a single large-scale project over an extended period.
Experience in catering equipment or hospitality fit-out is much preferred. We would welcome applications from the wider construction and commercial interior fit-out sectors if you have had exposure to commercial kitchens.
What You'll Be Doing
Planning and Delivery
- Develop project plans covering timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
Prepare the initial works programme, raise and issue RAMS, and manage variations
Prepare snagging lists, oversee O&M manuals, and sign off final accounts
Team and Contractor Management
- Lead and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and site workers
Liaise with clients, their design and sub-contractor teams, our suppliers, manufacturers, and installation teams
Quality and Compliance
- Oversee construction activity to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications
Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain regular contact with hospitality stakeholders — from Facilities Managers to Executive Chefs — providing progress updates and addressing concerns throughout delivery
The Fit
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in hospitality fit-out, or the wider commercial fit-out and construction sectors
Previous experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, with relevant qualifications
Strong technical knowledge of drawings and quotations, and confidence using these to communicate with clients and contractors
Strong time management and organisational skills, with the xwwtmva ability to manage time-sensitive, multi-stakeholder projects
A professional, presentable manner as a client-facing representative of the company
Desirable
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a wider team, delivering projects on time and within budget
What We Offer
- £45,000 – £50,000, dependent on experience
Support from an in-house design, sales, and marketing team
Bonus/commission structure
Laptop, iPad, and mobile phone provided
Hybrid working, with 1–2 days per week in our Stevenage office
Paid travel
Wellbeing Employee Assistance Programme including GP Access
Company pension and life insurance
Competitive holiday allowance, inclusive of Bank Holidays
Regular team lunches and events
The opportunity to work on-site at some of the UK's leading restaurants and five-star hotels
