Responsibilities: SME advice across Defence to working groups boards and committees on matters relating to Service accommodation ensuring housing and infrastructure solutions align with Defence policy and strategic requirements. 2. Lead the Capital Purchase Team in the planning governance and delivery of capital housing projects ensuring programme objectives benefits and milestones are achieved. 3. Engage with housing developers local planning authorities and other external stakeholders to secure accommodation solutions that meet Defence requirements 4. Ensure all newly acquired or constructed Service Family Accommodation and associated infrastructure comply with relevant policy regulatory and statutory requirements. 5. Manage the SFA Capital Purchase portfolio maintaining accurate records of acquisitions financial liabilities management company service charges and contractual commitments whilst providing assurance against Integrated Estate Management Plans 6. Ensure robust quality assurance and snagging processes are completed prior to legal completion and that all handover and onboarding procedures are followed when incorporating properties into the SFA estate. 7. Lead the development of Business Cases and Investment Appraisals for capital purchase projects securing approvals through the Investment Approvals Committee (IAC) and ensuring delivery within approved budgets and in accordance with HM Treasury MOD and DIO governance requirements. 8. Support the wider Plans and Requirements Team Defence Housing Service and Accommodation Directorate in the delivery of strategic planning policy development and accommodation programmes as required. Pre Appt / Deployment Trg: FM and Contract Management training. Domestic Considerations: A UK based position which may require occasional overseas travel. Professional effectiveness | Essential. Proven technical competence with the production of Businesses Cases commensurate with HM Treasury procurement and Cabinet Office procedures. Must have experience in both Agile Project Mgt and MSP Programme Mgt. |
