Our client, a fine art logistics specialist based in Hertfordshire, is looking for a skilled Case Maker to join their Wood Shop team on a 6-12 month contract, covering a long-term absence within the team - with a genuine chance this becomes permanent depending on workload.

You'll be building bespoke cases, crates and plinths used to safely transport and store valuable fine art and objects, working closely with Fine Art Technicians, Project Managers and Shipping teams to get every build right.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing, manufacturing and assembling bespoke fine art cases, crates and plinths to project requirements
Interpreting drawings, measurements and specifications to produce accurate, fit-for-purpose solutions
Selecting the right materials - timber, plywood, foam and specialist protective materials - to keep artwork safe and secure
Operating hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery to a high standard of craftsmanship
Keeping accurate records of builds, dimensions and materials used
Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop in line with Health & Safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in carpentry or joinery is essential
Confident interpreting technical drawings and working to precise measurements
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery
A real eye for detail and pride in high-quality workmanship
Able to work independently, solve problems practically, and manage your own workload
Forklift xwwtmva experience is a bonus but not essential
What's On Offer
45-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
6-12 month contract with strong potential to become permanent
