Credit Controller | Bristol (Office Based) | Up to £34,000
Robert Half are working with an organisation where an opportunity has arisen for a proactive Credit Controller to join a busy regional credit team, taking ownership of a portfolio of accounts. You'll work to maximise cash flow while building strong, lasting relationships with customers and colleagues, balancing firm, timely collection with a customer first approach.
Key Responsibilities
Chase outstanding debt by phone, letter and email, tailoring your approach to account type
Accurately allocate customer payments across various payment methods
Take payments over the telephone and manage approved payment plans
Resolve invoice queries, liaising with branches and customers as needed
Maintain stopped account listings and up-to-date customer records
Prepare customer files and new credit applications for authorisation
Escalate problem debts appropriately
Provide general administrative support to the credit office
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Confident, professional telephone manner, comfortable handling difficult debt collection conversations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong relationship building skills across all levels
Excellent organisation and ability to manage a busy workload
A proactive approach to credit control
Competent user of the Microsoft Office suite
Desirable:
Around two years' credit control experience
