We're partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation investing heavily in its technology and data capabilities, with Edinburgh at the centre of that journey. As part of a major digital transformation programme, they're looking for a Lead Data Architect to take ownership of their enterprise data strategy and help build a modern, cloud-native data platform that will support business-critical operations, analytics and decision-making across the globe.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain what's already there. You'll be shaping the future state, influencing senior stakeholders, defining architecture standards and helping create a data platform capable of supporting a complex international business operating at significant scale.
What you'll be doing
- Defining the long-term vision and roadmap for enterprise data architecture
Leading the design of a modern cloud-based data platform built on Microsoft technologies
Driving best practice across data governance, engineering, analytics, visualisation and master data management
Partnering with senior business and technology leaders to align data strategy with business objectives
Influencing key architecture decisions across multiple programmes and product teams
Helping establish data as a trusted, strategic asset across the organisation
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in Data Architecture within large, complex organisations
Strong expertise across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and modern data platforms
Excellent understanding of data engineering, analytics, governance and data management principles
Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud and SaaS data solutions
Ability to engage, influence and challenge senior stakeholders
Background within Financial Services, FinTech or similarly regulated environments
