Bring energy, encouragement and a little bit of sparkle to the classroom from September!
Are you someone who can turn a tricky morning into a positive one?
Do you love helping children grow in confidence, celebrate small wins and discover what they’re capable of?
Protocol Education are looking for a brilliant Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in South Bristol from September. The school is Ofsted rated “Good” and is attached to a nursery, giving it a lovely community feel and a nurturing environment for children from their earliest years right through primary school.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who already has experience working in primary schools, or for someone with transferable skills who is ready to jump into the world of education.
Whether you’ve worked in a school, nursery, care setting, youth work, coaching, tutoring, children’s clubs, or another people-focused role, this could be the perfect next step for you.
What you’ll be doing
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be right in the heart of the school day, supporting pupils to learn, laugh, try again and feel proud of themselves.
Your day might include:
- Supporting children in the classroom
- Helping pupils with reading, writing, phonics or maths
- Working with small groups or individual children
- Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Helping the class teacher create a fun and engaging learning environment
- Being that friendly, steady person who makes school feel like a safe and happy place
No two days are ever exactly the same, but every day brings the chance to make a difference.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, positive and full of enthusiasm
- Patient, calm and encouraging
- Confident building relationships with children
- Reliable, flexible and ready to get stuck in
- A great team player
- Passionate about helping children learn and grow
- Experienced in a primary school or able to bring strong transferable skills
You don’t need to know everything on day one. What matters most is that you care, you’re willing to learn, and you genuinely want to support children to have the best possible school experience.
Why this role is a great opportunity
This school offers a warm, supportive and community-focused environment where staff work together to help children thrive. Being attached to a nursery also gives the school a lovely nurturing feel, with a strong focus on early development, confidence and positive relationships.
If you’re looking for a role where you can bring your personality, build your experience and make a real impact, this could be just what you’re looking for.
