The role involves supporting children and young people aged 5-16 who may need additional guidance with emotional wellbeing, social development, confidence, and managing challenges within school life.As a Pastoral Support Assistant, you will be a key point of support for pupils, helping them feel safe, valued, and ready to engage with their education.
You will spend time getting to know students as individuals, understanding their needs, and providing consistent encouragement to help them overcome personal and emotional barriers.The Pastoral Support Assistant will support children through daily challenges by offering reassurance, mentoring, and practical guidance.
You will help students develop emotional awareness, improve social skills, build resilience, and develop strategies to manage difficult situations.
