The Role
As a History Graduate, you may work as a:
- Teaching Assistant
- Humanities Learning Support Assistant
- Academic Mentor
- SEND Teaching Assistant
- Inclusion Support Assistant
- Pastoral Support Assistant
- Intervention Mentor
You'll gain invaluable experience by:
- Supporting students on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Assisting pupils across Humanities subjects and the wider curriculum.
- Helping students develop critical thinking, analysis and communication skills.
- Supporting learners with SEND, SEMH needs and additional learning needs.
- Encouraging student participation and engagement in lessons.
- Building positive relationships that promote confidence and resilience.
- Working alongside teachers, pastoral staff and SEND professionals.
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

We're Looking For
- A degree in History or a related Humanities subject.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- A patient, adaptable and resilient approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
