PMO Analyst

Set across 330 acres, Kew Gardens is a beautiful place to work, alongside our second site at Wakehurst in West Sussex. Our teams are working towards Kew's Manifesto for Change, a 10-year strategy to tackle the twin challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss, and our Estates Projects Team plays a key part in this ambition, delivering a multimillion-pound programme of new build, conservation, refurbishment and decarbonisation projects across a diverse, complex and protected estate. You'll be joining a well-accomplished project management team, well regarded for the rigour, professionalism and expertise they bring to delivering complex capital projects.

We're looking for a PMO Analyst to join our Capital Projects Team, part of Kew's Project Management Office (PMO), helping to deliver this programme, worth around £20 million a year. Working closely with the PMO Lead, and stepping in for them when needed, you'll manage day-to-day project support, financial governance and reporting across the programme, and provide quality assurance to others in the project support function, playing your part in making sure the capital programme is delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard. Part-time hours per week: Annualised hours - full time (you will work an average of 36 hours per week).

Contract Type: Permanent.

Contract start date: 2 November 2026.

You'll be educated to degree level, hold a relevant Level 5/6 qualification, or have equivalent experience, along with a solid background in project support, PMO or programme management. You'll have experience helping to deliver large, complex capital or construction programmes, good knowledge of capital project governance and financial administration, and experience with project information management systems such as document control and SharePoint.

You're well organised and accurate in your work, comfortable managing project data and financial records and skilled with tools like Excel and SharePoint. You communicate clearly, both in writing and in person, and enjoy working with a range of people, from colleagues to external partners. A project management qualification (such as APM, PRINCE2, Agile or PMP) and experience using financial systems would be helpful but aren't essential.

This role is based at Kew with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
