Monarch Education are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across Walsall from September 2026.

\n

As schools prepare for the new academic year, we are working with a number of local settings looking to appoint enthusiastic and committed support staff to work alongside pupils with additional needs. Whether you're looking for a long-term placement, part-time position or flexible work around other commitments, we have opportunities available throughout the area.

What you'll need

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN or SEND
  • \n
  • A positive, patient and adaptable approach
  • \n
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • \n
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • \n
  • Right to work in the UK
  • \n
  • \n

Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, SEMH, communication needs or learning difficulties would be highly beneficial.

About the Role

\n

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable support to pupils who require additional assistance to access learning and thrive within the classroom environment.

\n

You may support pupils on a one-to-one basis, work with small intervention groups or provide classroom-based assistance alongside the class teacher. Schools are seeking individuals who can provide consistency, encouragement and a calm, supportive presence throughout the school day.

\n

This role would be well suited to candidates with experience in education, childcare, youth work, residential care, support work or similar settings.
