The Role

Reports to: Head of Special Projects

Location: WeWork Waterloo (Hybrid)

Comp: Negotiable (Base) + Company Performance Bonus (10%) + Share Options + UK iProov Benefits

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Special Projects team, dedicated to experimental, first-of-a-kind innovation initiatives and Proof of Concepts. In this role, you will take full ownership of the delivery lifecycle for unique projects, from initial scoping through to successful POC and potential handover to the Product Team.

You will adopt a highly proactive, hands-on approach to meet the dynamic needs of our innovation trials, managing intricate technical dependencies and collaborating closely with our software development and science teams. Your focus will be on prioritising workloads and managing deliverables to ensure these projects are delivered on time whilst minimising the impact on the BAU teams.
How you can make an impact
  • Scope and drive delivery for experimental, first-of-a-kind innovation projects and Proof of Concepts.
  • Provide hands-on prototyping support, including some software development moving beyond traditional project management to assist with technical implementation.
  • Manage complex technical dependencies and logistics to enable rapid iteration during innovation trials.
  • Collaborate closely with development and science teams to translate technical requirements into functional, trial-ready implementations.
  • Deliver technical workstreams within large-scale projects as part of wider project teams.
What we would like to see from you
  • Proven project management experience managing technical projects from concept to delivery.
  • Familiarity with software engineering and AI tools for rapid software prototyping.
  • Ability to manage full project lifecycles, from initial concepts to trials and POCs.
  • Aptitude for "thinking outside the box" to solve unusual technical and logistical challenges in customer-facing trials.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to build trust with senior leaders and engineers.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce crisp status reports and clear escalations.

Nice to haves
  • Experience in identity & access management (IAM), workforce authentication, or fraud prevention
  • Familiarity with enterprise security/compliance contexts (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
  • PMP, PRINCE2, agile or equivalent certification
