We're looking for someone who enjoys building positive relationships, inspiring others, and making a real difference within the local community.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, able to prioritise competing demands, and confident delivering support through face-to-face engagement, online platforms, and electronic communication channels.

About the Candidate:

You will hold a recognised Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Management and have a thorough understanding of UK health and safety legislation.

We are seeking a customer-focused professional with:
  • Significant and demonstrable experience in a Health & Safety role
  • Experience of auditing health and safety management systems
  • Proven experience conducting accident and incident investigations
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • The confidence and ability to work independently, while also contributing effectively as part of a Health & Safety and Occupational Health team
  • A proactive, supportive and professional approach to service delivery
  • A passion for engaging and influencing others to promote positive health and safety culture

If you are committed to helping others, thrive on variety and challenge, and have a genuine desire to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.

In return, we offer:
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Generous annual leave entitlement
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing
  • Professional support and mentoring
  • Access to continuous professional development opportunities
