As a Head Housekeeper at Avocet Court Care Home, you will be responsible for ensuring a high quality of cleanliness within the home.About Avocet Court Care Home: Situated in a residential nook in Ipswich, our 115-bedroom Avocet Court Care Home is surrounded by beautiful gardens.

We also have fantastic sustainability credentials, including solar panels and green initiatives to minimise our environmental impact.About the role: Leading our Housekeeping team, the Head Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.Salary: £13.19 per hour.Shift Pattern: 30 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.Home Location: Monmouth Close, Ipswich, England, IP2 8RS.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Manage overall responsibility for support services within the home for laundry and domestic housekeeping.Support the management team in the recruitment, induction and training of the support service team; ensuring training targets are met and team is competent in their roles.Manage rotas, budgets, stocks and reporting duties for the Housekeeping department within the home.Support, lead, manage and inspire direct reports to deliver outstanding service for the home.Training, Skills & Experience Required:Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position, with proven experience successfully managing a team, budgets and targets.A passion for care were looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.What we can offer:Fully comprehensive induction.Competitive salary, plus enhancements on bank holidays.28 days of holiday per year.Free Blue Light Card & access to the Blue Light discount platform.Refer a friend scheme.About Athena: Athena Care Homes are a family run business with seven homes across East Anglia.
