We are looking for an experienced
and enthusiastic management couple to take the helm at the Plockton Inn. We are
open to applications from two experienced hospitality managers or a General
Manager and Head Chef partnership.

The Place

Set in the heart of the
picturesque village of Plockton, often described as the “Jewel of the
Highlands”, the Plockton Inn is a welcoming, characterful hotel serving
visitors and the local community alike.

The property has 26 guest
bedrooms across three locations: six rooms within the Inn itself, six in
Sorley’s House and 14 in The Haven, our two nearby annexes. Several rooms enjoy
spectacular views towards Duncraig Castle.

Our busy seafood restaurant
showcases freshly caught seafood and quality local produce, while the
traditional bar offers local ales, an extensive whisky selection and genuine
Highland hospitality.

With an outdoor terrace, the
hotel can serve more than 100 covers on a busy summer’s day. It is both a
destination for visitors exploring the West Highlands and Isle of Skye and an
important hub for the Plockton community.

The Position

As the management couple, you
will be the face of the Plockton Inn and will take responsibility for the
successful day-to-day operation of the business.

This could suit two experienced
hospitality managers or a General Manager and Head Chef partnership. Whatever
the combination, you will work together to lead the hotel, restaurant and bar,
delivering an exceptional experience for guests while maintaining a warm
welcome for the local community.

Your responsibilities will
include:

• Leading, developing and motivating the hotel team


• Maintaining consistently high standards of service
  and hospitality


• Overseeing the operational and financial
  performance of the business


• Driving revenue, managing costs and delivering
  agreed targets


• Supporting recruitment, training and team
  development


• Ensuring excellent standards across accommodation,
  food and beverage


• Building strong relationships with guests,
  suppliers and the local community


• Working closely with the wider Highland Coast
  Hotels leadership and central support teams

For a General Manager and Head
Chef partnership, the Head Chef will lead the kitchen operation, menu
development and food standards, making the most of the outstanding local
seafood and produce available on the West Coast.

This is a hands on opportunity
for a capable and ambitious couple to shape the future of one of the area’s
best known hospitality businesses.

The Person

You will be experienced
hospitality professionals who enjoy being visible, involved and at the heart of
the operation.

You will bring:

• Previous senior management experience within a
  hotel, inn, restaurant or similar hospitality business


• Strong leadership and people management skills


• Sound commercial awareness and the ability to
  deliver financial results


• A genuine passion for food, service and authentic
  Highland hospitality


• The confidence to make decisions and find practical
  solutions


• Excellent organisational and communication skills


• The ability to thrive in a busy, seasonal and rural
  environment


• A desire to become part of the local community and
  act as ambassadors for the Plockton Inn
