Job description
The HR Data Analyst is responsible for transforming workforce and organisational data into meaningful insights that support better people related business decision-making. This role will partner with HR, Finance, and business leaders to provide analysis, reporting, forecasting, and recommendations that improve organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee outcomes. Understanding business challenges and identifying opportunities where data can provide insight and support. Present findings in a clear and engaging manner to both technical and non-technical audiences. Data Analysis & Insight Generation * Compile group wide HR data sets from various sources in the absence of a group HRIS. * Ensure accuracy of data through data audit/cross referencing and data entry to correct where required. * Analyse workforce and business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement. * Produce regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership teams. * Translate complex datasets into practical insights and recommendations. * Support evidence-based decision-making through robust analysis and data interpretation. Reporting & Dashboard Development * Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting solutions. * Automate and streamline reporting processes where possible. * Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with stakeholder needs. * Monitor key workforce and organisational performance indicators. * Project support and potential HRIS implementation support. Workforce Planning & Forecasting * Support workforce planning activities through data analysis, trend identification, and forecasting. * Assist with scenario modelling to support organisational growth, transformation, and talent planning initiatives. * Provide analysis to support budgeting, resource planning, and organisational decision-making. Data Quality & Governance * Maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and integrity. * Conduct audits and validation checks to identify and resolve data discrepancies. * Contribute to the development of data standards, definitions, and governance practices. * Promote a culture of data quality and informed decision-making. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Timely and accurate delivery of reporting and analysis. * High level of stakeholder confidence in data and insights. * Improvements in data quality and reporting efficiency. * Increased use of data to support business decision-making. * Delivery of actionable insights that influence organisational outcomes. * Improvements in tools and systems used. Knowledge, Skills & Experience Education Minimum high school diploma, HR qualification desirable. Minimum GSCE Maths. Data Analytics or quantative methods qualifications, or similar also desirable. Experience * Proven experience working with HR data and Metrics, reporting, analytics, or business intelligence. At an established level. * Demonstrable success producing finished HR metrics and/or dashboards with little guidance, working autonomously. Desirable * Experience with SQL, Python, or other analytical tools. * Experience in forecasting, modelling, or planning activities. Technical Skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets. * Understanding of data governance and data quality principles. * Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar. * Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Languages * Must be able to read and write competently in business English. Soft Skills * Acts a Responsible and professional ambassador for Selecta with any interactions with either providers or clients. * Ability to judge and manage priorities and elevate/seek guidance appropriately. Maybe asked to support or guide less experienced colleagues. Travel and Working Requirements This role will be required to be on site at the London office at least once per week, currently near Paddington. This role is predominantly office /desk based. Operating within a fast-paced, international business environment, working collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple countries, functions, and time zones. The position requires a flexible and proactive approach, balancing planning own priorities with reactive business requirements.
