We have an opportunity for a Patient Administration Lead to join their team of staff in theOperating Theatre department.
This is a full- time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the patient administration team ensuring service standards and targets are consistently met.
Allocate tasks and support workforce planning to ensure appropriate cover across all administrative areas.
Act as the key point of contact for operational queries and escalate issues where required.
Ensure the smooth running of theatre bookings. Ensure the theatre lists are efficiently utilised to available capacity and in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures.
Monitor patient flow processes and liaise with clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
Attending and managing Theatre meetings on a daily basis.
Working closely with SMT and meeting directly and frequently with the allocated surgical teams (consultants anaesthetist theatre ward and reservation teams) to ensure theatre lists are efficiently utilised.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Experience in a healthcare administration or patient services role.
Strong leadership team coordination or supervisory experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and patient management systems.
