Are you a SEND Teaching Assistant looking to gain meaningful school-based experience in Pimlico, Westminster?
This SEND Teaching Assistant role is ideal for a patient, resilient and compassionate graduate who wants to support pupils with additional needs while building experience for a future career in teaching, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy or SEN.
SEND Teaching Assistant | Key Details
• £90-100 per day PAYE
• Full-time, term-time only role
• September 2026 start
• Based in Pimlico, Westminster
• Excellent experience for aspiring SEN professionals
• Future training routes available for the right candidate
SEND Teaching Assistant | The Role
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
• Support pupils with Autism, speech and language needs, learning needs or EHCP targets
• Work closely with class teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff
• Help pupils access learning, routines and social development
• Build confidence, independence and positive engagement in school
SEND Teaching Assistant | Candidate Requirements
• 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, English, Science or a related degree preferred
• Previous experience with children or young people is desirable
• Calm, patient and consistent approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Able to commit for the full academic year
