Ready to be the financial and operational heartbeat of a buzzing design studio? We’re looking for a sharp, proactive Finance & Operations Manager to keep a fast‑paced, design‑driven business running at full tilt during a 10‑month maternity cover.
You’ll be the go‑to problem‑solver, the calm in the chaos, and the person who makes sure everything behind the scenes works beautifully. You oversee all finance management liaising with their external book keeper and FD on a daily basis. If you love variety, thrive on organisation, and enjoy being at the centre of a creative studio, you’ll feel right at home.
You will also be part of the project leadership team on their upcoming office move in the Autumn, perfect for someone who enjoys logistics, planning, and making big things happen.
What You’ll Own
• Keeping operational systems, processes, and compliance running smoothly
• Overseeing IT providers and ensuring the studio’s tech setup is seamless
• Finance Management: cash flow, reporting, bookkeeping oversight, VAT/Tax coordination
• Provide secondary leadership oversight around onboarding & HR issues & HR systems
• Coordinating project invoicing, reporting, and PM tools
• Playing a key role in planning a future office relocation
What You Bring
• Experience in operations & finance management within a creative, consultancy, or SME environment
• Strong grounding in finance admin, governance, and facilities
• Confidence managing external IT providers
• Working knowledge of Xero
• A natural organiser with excellent communication skills
• Calm, collaborative energy, even when things get busy
• Experience supporting or managing an office move
