This role is a limited term appointment for 3 years.

About the role

The Isle of Man Government is seeking a Non-Executive Chair to lead the Board responsible for the delivery of health and care services for the people of the Isle of Man.

This high profile role will lead the Board of Non-Executive and Executive members of the arms length delivery organisation, Manx Care, driving change and helping shape the future delivery of health and care services.

The Chair of the Board plays a crucial role in developing the strategy and culture of the organisation, ensuring it remains patient and service user centred, with a focus on financial and clinical sustainability and the delivery of the long term transformational objectives detailed in Sir Jonathan Michael's Report.

As Chair of the Board, you will work closely with and hold the Chief Executive Officer of Manx Care to account for the delivery of health and care services outlined in the annual Mandate issued by the Department of Health and Social Care on behalf of the Isle of Man Government.

You will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Board, enabling delivery that is focused on quality, strategy, governance, risk, and operational and financial performance.

A basic police check is required for this post, the cost of which will be covered by the Isle of Man Government.
