Job description
Closing date: 09 August 2026 Education and Employment Support Officer An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Employment and Skills team for enthusiastic and motivated individual to join as Education and Employment Support Officer. This role will play a vital part in supporting young people to make successful transitions into education, employment or training. The Role As an Education and Employment Support Officer, you will be based in the Youth Employment Support (YES) Hub to provide high‑quality, impartial information, advice and guidance to young people aged 16 - 24, helping them to progress into appropriate post‑16 education, employment or training opportunities. Support will be delivered through a mix of face‑to‑face, group‑based and digital interventions, tailored to individual needs. You will work closely with young people, families, education providers and partner agencies to ensure timely and positive progression. This role will be based within the Youth Employment Service (YES) Hub, supporting young people through: * One‑to‑one guidance and action planning * Employability and skills‑focused sessions * Collaborative working with employers, training providers and support services * Ongoing case management to help young people achieve sustained outcomes What We Are Looking For We are looking for an individual who: * Have experience of supporting young people with education, employment or training pathways * Can build positive relationships and motivate young people. * Are confident delivering advice and guidance in both one‑to‑one and group settings. * Are organised, proactive and able to manage a varied caseload. * Are committed to inclusive, person‑centred support.
