CNC Operative Temporary Role 6/8 weeks Shifts: Monday - Thursday 4pm - 8pm, Saturday 8am - 12pm About the Role We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Operative to join our growing Doors and Washrooms team. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting production activities, maintaining high quality standards, and driving efficiencies across the department. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual who has experience operating CNC machinery and is passionate about continuous improvement, quality workmanship, and working collaboratively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities As a CNC Operative, your duties will include: * Liaising closely with the Mill Supervisor to prioritise and complete production requirements. * Setting up and operating CNC machinery safely and efficiently. * Identifying and implementing improvements to maximise machine utilisation and production output. * Selecting and preparing the correct materials and products for manufacturing processes. * Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards, accuracy, and compliance are maintained. * Operating other production machinery as required. * Maintaining and developing knowledge of CNC operations and manufacturing techniques. * Working collaboratively with colleagues and management to support continuous improvement initiatives. * Promoting and adhering to health and safety procedures at all times. * Supporting wider departmental objectives to ensure productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction targets are achieved. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will have: * Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing or production environment. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control. * The ability to read and interpret production requirements accurately. * A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. * Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. * A strong commitment to health and safety practices. * Flexibility to operate additional machinery and support wider production activities when required.
