About the Role You will provide high-quality, child-centred support, helping our daughter achieve her goals and participate fully in family, school, and community life. Responsibilities include: Providing daily care and support, including tracheostomy care, PEG feeding, mobility assistance, and continence care (full specialist training provided). Supporting communication using PECS, Makaton, and electronic AAC devices. Encouraging play, learning, therapy activities, and social development. Helping achieve agreed monthly developmental goals focused on communication, mobility, independence, and cognitive skills. Supporting speech and language therapy programmes, including oral motor activities. Accompanying our daughter to school, appointments, activities, and community outings. Working collaboratively with parents, therapists, and other support staff. Supporting the wider family to maintain a positive and nurturing home environment. About Our Daughter Our daughter is: Happy, sociable, and full of personality. Living with complex medical needs, including a tracheostomy and PEG. Supported by specialist healthcare and therapy teams. Attending school and engaging in regular developmental activities. Part of a loving family with parents and an older sibling who value kindness, professionalism, teamwork, and consistency. Hours and Shifts Term Time Monday to Thursday: 3:00pm to 9:00pm Friday: 1:00pm to 9:00pm School Holidays & Weekends 12-hour shifts on a rota basis Additional hours may be available. Shift times may occasionally vary according to family needs, with reasonable notice provided.
