We are partnered with a well-known restaurant group who are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join the business on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of the role becoming permanent. You'll play a key role in ensuring a resilient, scalable and high-performing supply chain that supports a fast-paced retail operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has operated within a restaurant, hospitality or multi-site food retail environment and enjoys improving processes, strengthening supplier relationships and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day supply chain operation across a nationwide multi-site business, ensuring excellent product availability.
Develop and implement supply chain strategies that improve resilience, efficiency and customer service.
Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, distributors and suppliers, driving performance against agreed KPIs and service levels.
Monitor inventory performance, optimise stock holding and minimise waste while maintaining high availability.
Identify operational risks and implement contingency plans to protect continuity of supply.
Build reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility across forecasting, inventory and supplier performance.
Analyse operational data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
Standardise supply chain processes and introduce scalable ways of working as the business continues to grow.
Partner closely with Procurement, Commercial, Finance and Operations teams to support new product launches, business change and estate growth.
Drive supplier performance reviews, introducing measurable improvement plans where required.
Support ongoing development of systems, automation and reporting to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
Act as the key escalation point for supply chain issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations during peak trading periods.
About You
- Previous Supply Chain Management experience within a restaurant, hospitality, foodservice or multi-site food retail environment.
Immediately available or within a 1 month notice period (MAX)
Strong experience managing third-party logistics (3PL), distributors and complex supplier networks.
A proven track record of maintaining high service levels across a fast-paced, multi-site operation.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reporting and dashboard creation.
Experience using ERP, MRP and wider supply chain management systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and turn insight into action.
Experience improving inventory management, forecasting and supply planning processes.
Excellent commercial awareness and supplier relationship management skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a changing environment.
A collaborative leadership style with experience working across Procurement, Operations, Commercial and Finance functions. xwwtmva
Knowledge of food safety, compliance and supply chain best practice within a food-led business.
