Private Client - Senior Associate / Legal Director – (Exclusive and Confidential Mandate)

We have an exclusive mandate to seek an experienced private client lawyer to join the highly regarded private client team of a long-established, full-service London law firm.
This is a key, strategic appointment within a well-established and growing team, and for this specific role offering exposure to a broad range of sophisticated, high-value and mainly domestic private client work. There may be the opportunity to also work on cross-border/international work.
The successful candidate will work alongside leading, experienced partners and other senior and junior lawyers in a collaborative, supportive environment, with genuine opportunities for progression.

The role
This role will involve advising high and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and trustees on a wide range of complex private client matters, with a particular emphasis on UK-based work, including:
- Complex estate administration
Wills and succession planning
Trust creation, administration and taxation
Inheritance tax and wider private client tax planning
Court of Protection and related advisory work
The successful candidate will also supervise junior lawyers, play an active role in developing the practice and, for those interested, have the opportunity to take on wider management responsibilities as part of a clear long-term career path.
Candidates at Senior Associate or Legal Director level are encouraged to apply. We will also consider strong applicants at Associate level for a similar or higher status.
Candidate profile
Applications are welcomed from lawyers who have:
- c. 7 – 12+ years' PQE (exceptional candidates with 5+ years' PQE will also be considered)
Strong technical private client experience, including in domestic estate administration
The ability to manage complex matters with relatively minimal supervision
Some experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
A genuine interest in building a long-term career within a stable, collegiate firm
You will also, ideally, have STEP qualification and/or ATT/CTA qualification (or active progress towards qualification).
