This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils, families and staff to promote excellent attendance, improve pupil wellbeing and ensure every child is given the best possible start to their education. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the school's support team, helping to create a positive, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
As Attendance & Welfare Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting both attendance and pupil welfare across the school.
Responsibilities will include:
Monitoring daily attendance and following up on pupil absences
Working closely with families to improve attendance and punctuality
Supporting pupils experiencing barriers to learning or regular attendance
Maintaining accurate attendance records using the school's MIS
Liaising with external agencies and professionals where appropriate
Assisting with safeguarding, welfare and pastoral support when required
Producing attendance reports and identifying trends for senior leaders

Previous experience in attendance, welfare, pastoral support or school administration would be advantageous. Above all, the school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships, remain calm under pressure and contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
£29,000 – £34,000 per annum
