Job description
Asbestos Analyst Join a respected asbestos consultancy in the UK, committed to protecting people and property through accurate surveying, reliable analysis, and clear reporting. Vacancy Locations - Halesowen (Birmingham), Maidstone, Wakefield, Blackpool & Scotland Job Responsibilities * Undertake asbestos sampling and analysis in line with relevant UK standards and company procedures. * Prepare and process samples for laboratory testing, ensuring correct labelling, chain of custody, and documentation. * Analyse results accurately and produce clear, professional findings for inclusion in reports. * Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure work is carried out safely and consistently. * Support survey and management activities by providing technical input where required. * Review documentation for completeness and compliance, escalating any issues promptly. * Maintain accurate records of samples, results, and reporting activity in accordance with internal systems. * Work collaboratively with surveyors, project teams, and clients to ensure timely delivery of outputs. Required Skills & Qualifications * Proven experience as an Asbestos Analyst or in a closely related asbestos testing role. * Strong knowledge of asbestos sampling and analysis practices, including safe handling and accurate documentation. * Ability to interpret laboratory results and produce clear, technically sound reporting. * Working knowledge of UK asbestos guidance and compliance expectations (including relevant sampling and analytical standards). * Relevant certification and/or accreditation for asbestos analysis (as applicable to the role and methods used). * Competence in maintaining chain of custody, sample tracking, and quality assurance processes. * Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work to ensure accuracy and consistency. * Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to stakeholders. * Good IT skills for report writing and maintaining records in internal systems.
