An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Premises Manager to join a successful secondary school in Birmingham. The school is committed to providing a safe, well-maintained and welcoming environment where pupils and staff can thrive.
Working as part of the school's leadership and support team, you will oversee the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring the buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the smooth running of the school.
Core Responsibilities
Site & Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school buildings and grounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
Health & Safety Compliance: Lead on health and safety procedures, statutory compliance, risk assessments, fire safety and site inspections, ensuring all legal requirements are met.
Contractor & Project Management: Manage contractors, planned maintenance, procurement and site improvement projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time and within budget.
Team Leadership: Lead and support the site and cleaning teams, promoting high standards of service and responding efficiently to the operational needs of the school.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience in premises, facilities or site management, ideally within an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, building maintenance and compliance.
Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage contractors, budgets and multiple priorities effectively.
A proactive, hands-on approach and the legal right to work in the UK.
