Are you an experienced Health and Social Care SVQ Assessor? Do you want to join an award winning, friendly and experienced team? If so, then we have the perfect role for you! Weve got a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced SVQ Assessor to join us covering SVQ assessment across Scotland on a part-time, permanent basis. (3 days per week) Location: Any of our Scotland offices (Elgin, Peterhead, Aberdeen, Dundee, Airdrie, Glasgow, Dumbarton, Irvine, Galashiels) with our hybrid working model. What youll be doing * Play a key role in qualifying our social care workforce through our Training Academy. * Support our experienced SVQ Assessor team within our long-established Qualifications Scotland Approved Centre. * Assess Social Services and Healthcare qualifications at SCQF Levels 6 and 7, plus Core Skills, Business & Administration and PDA in Supervision awards where applicable. * Manage your own workload, using eportfolio, MS Teams and face-to-face support to assess candidates effectively. * Guide candidates from induction through to successful award completion. * Enable learners to achieve Qualifications Scotland standards, agreed deadlines and organisational KPIs. * Help maintain Cornerstones excellent reputation as a trusted Qualifications Scotland provider. To be an amazing Assessor we’ll need you to bring; * Experience of assessing candidates across different SCQF levels working in health & social care * Extensive health and social care experience * Confident use of technology (eportfolios, MS teams, Microsoft suite) * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills * Ability to work flexibly to meet the individual needs of candidates and assessors * Strong interpersonal, networking and facilitation skills * An in-depth knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards, SSSC Codes of Practice, SSSC Registration requirements. * An SVQ qualification in assessment i.e.L&D9DI A1 or D33 * An SVQ (or equivalent) qualification in social care at SCQF 7 or above About us Cornerstone is one of Scotlands largest charities with over 45 years experience providing great care and support for adults and children with various support needs across Scotland. This is a rewarding role which will allow you to draw on your experience of the Social Care sector to provide professional assessment and support to candidates, enabling them to realise their potential.
