Job description

An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and visionary PYP Coordinator / PYP Lead to join a growing international school in Mandalay, Myanmar.

This is an ideal role for an experienced IB educator who is passionate about developing outstanding teaching and learning while leading the successful delivery of the IB Primary Years Programme within a collaborative international environment.

Overview

As PYP Coordinator, you will provide strategic leadership for the Primary Years Programme, ensuring the successful implementation of the IB framework across the school. Working closely with teachers and school leadership, you will foster a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting curriculum development, assessment practices, and professional learning. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a reduced teaching timetable, allowing you to remain connected to classroom practice while mentoring colleagues and modelling best practice.

  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • PGCE or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Extensive experience teaching within the IB Primary Years Programme.
  • MUST HAVE experience in a PYP leadership or coordination role.
  • Excellent understanding of IB philosophy and inquiry-based learning.
  • Experience with IB authorisation, evaluation, or programme development is highly advantageous.
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and solution-focused approach.
