Job description
We are searching for a passionate and nurturing one-to-one teaching assistant to join our team at Northbridge International School Cambodia. This exciting opportunity involves working as a one-to-one support for a child with additional needs.
ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Report to:Head of Secondary Inclusion
  • Location: Phnom Penh
  • As a one-to-one teaching assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and emotional development of our incredible students. You will work closely with the inclusion teacher, classroom teacher, parents, and other professionals to ensure that the student receives personalized attention and achieves their maximum potential.

Responsibility
  • Provide individualized support to the student, both academically and emotionally
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to implement tailored strategies and interventions
  • Foster a positive learning environment, promoting inclusion and engagement
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and record progress, providing ongoing feedback and reports to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the student at all times
  • Collaborate effectively with the wider school community, including parents, caregivers, and external professionals

ABOUT YOU
  • Previous experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing situations
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
