A leading manufacturer is seeking a Customer Support Service Engineer.
Customer Support Service Engineer role involves frequent international travel to customer sites worldwide, providing installation, maintenance, repairs and technical support for advanced X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) systems and associated equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on technical work, international travel and delivering outstanding customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Physics, together with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.

Main Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, maintenance, upgrades and repairs of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) systems at customer sites worldwide
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance and warranty work
- Test repaired equipment prior to returning it to customers
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting both on-site and remotely
- Deliver customer training on equipment operation and maintenance
- Prepare service reports and maintain accurate business records
- Obtain customer acceptance following completion of service work
- Report equipment issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support fellow Service Engineers and the Customer Support team as required
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering or Physics (or equivalent)
- Background in scientific instrumentation
- Knowledge of X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) would be advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Good time management and organisational abilities
- Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
- Full, clean UK driving licence would be advantageous

- Salary : £29k - £39.5k
- Job Type : Permanent, full-time
- Working Hours : 37 Hrs Monday to Thursday 8AM – 4 : 15 Friday 8AM – 3 : 30PM
