An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Housing Solicitor up to 5PQE to join a highly regarded housing litigation team in Manchester. This Housing Solicitor in Manchester role offers exposure to a broad range of housing management and litigation matters, acting on behalf of Registered Providers across complex and challenging cases. Working as a Housing Solicitor in Manchester, you’ll gain hands-on responsibility from day one while benefiting from the support of experienced specialists in one of the UK’s leading housing law teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor looking to build a long-term career in housing litigation, develop advocacy skills and work closely with major social housing clients on varied and meaningful work.
The Role:
- Managing a varied caseload of housing litigation matters on behalf of Registered Providers
Advising on anti-social behaviour cases and enforcement action
Conducting possession proceedings and housing management litigation
Handling injunction applications and committal proceedings
Managing housing disrepair and property condition claims
Advising on hoarding and access matters
Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate
Drafting pleadings, witness statements, applications and other legal documentation
Supporting senior lawyers on complex and high-value matters
Building strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused advice
The Candidate:
- Qualified Solicitor with up to 5 years’ PQE
Experience in housing litigation, social housing law or a strong interest in the sector
Exposure to contentious legal work and case management
Advocacy experience or a genuine desire to develop advocacy skills
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
Strong communication and client relationship management skills
Proactive, ambitious and career-driven approach
Team focused with a collaborative working style
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong drafting and analytical skills
