The Role
We are looking for a field service engineer to join our busy service team, providing field service, technical support, software support and operator training to our customers in the radiopharmaceutical/ nuclear medicine sector. This will primarily involve travel within the UK, but European and worldwide travel will be a significant part of the role. When not travelling you will be expected to be based in our Sheffield office.
The position would suit someone who is looking for a career in scientific field service work, including those looking to move from the laboratory to a FSE role. This is a great opportunity to work with a customer-focused company supporting several niche product lines.
Responsibilities
- Customer site delivery of:
Installation and operator training on instruments and software
Preventative maintenance
Qualifications (IQ/OQ/RQ)
Diagnosis and repair of systems
Supporting customers and distributors remotely
Efficient management of schedule and workload
Effective communication with customers and colleagues
Assist as needed with product demonstrations
Preparation/submission of service reports to customers
The above list is not exhaustive and, as such, you may be required to undertake other duties as appropriate.
Requirements
Essential
- Industry experience working with Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
Full driving licence
Willingness to travel extensively
Highly motivated and have strong problem-solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
A commitment to providing a high level of customer service
Able to work independently without supervision in high-pressure environments
Computer experience and proficiency
Desirable
- Relevant experience in the radiopharmaceutical industry, ideally within PET QC
Experience of working with radioactivity
