\n The Company:\n
\nAgricultural Recruitment Specialists are recruiting for a Ruminant Area Sales Manager on behalf of a well-established, independent animal nutrition business covering the Derby area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in ruminant nutrition, livestock production, or agricultural sales to inherit a well-established and loyal customer base while identifying new opportunities for growth across the region. You'll work closely with dairy and beef farmers, providing technical advice and tailored nutritional solutions that help improve herd performance and profitability.\n

\n The Job:
- Manage and develop an established customer base across the Derby region\n
\n- Identify and secure new business opportunities\n
\n- Provide technical feed and nutritional advice to dairy and beef farmers\n
\n- Promote a range of high-quality feed and nutritional products\n
\n- Build long-term customer relationships through regular farm visits\n
\n- Achieve sales and territory growth targets\n
\n- Monitor market trends and competitor activity\n
\n- Prepare sales forecasts and customer reports\n
\n- Work closely with the wider technical and commercial teams\n
\n \n
The Candidate:
- Previous experience within ruminant nutrition, livestock farming, agricultural sales, or a related industry\n
\n- Good technical understanding of dairy and beef production systems\n
\n- Strong communication and relationship-building skills\n
\n- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development\n
\n- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively\n
\n- Previous experience selling animal feed, nutrition, or agricultural products\n
\n- Degree or qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a related discipline\n
\n- Existing knowledge of the Derbyshire livestock sector\n
\n- Full UK driving licence\n

Candidate Requirements\n
