Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a vibrant and welcoming primary school in Salford to appoint an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher for a September start. The Role
As the successful Year 2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. You will play an important role in creating a positive learning environment where children feel confident, valued, and motivated to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
- Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Differentiate learning to ensure all pupils can access and achieve within the curriculum
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance pupil outcomes
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and engage in ongoing professional development
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
- Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching practices
- Can adapt lessons to meet the needs of learners of varying abilities
- Is a confident communicator and team player
- Uses technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning
- Is passionate about making a positive difference to children's education
