Psychology Graduate – SEND

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?



Are you considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Teaching, or another child-focused profession?



We are currently seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to work in specialist SEND schools and alternative provisions. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of additional needs while gaining invaluable classroom experience in a supportive and inclusive educational environment.



Working alongside experienced teachers and SEND professionals, you'll help pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals while developing the practical skills needed for a successful career in education or psychology.



Working Hours


8:30am – 3:30pm, Full Time and part time


Term Time Only



What We're Looking For



  • A degree in Psychology or a closely related subject.


A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.


Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


A patient, resilient and proactive approach.


Experience working with children or vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.


Ability to provide two recent references.




Key Responsibilities



  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional learning needs.


Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs and other SEND requirements.


Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing.


Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.


Implement personalised learning and behaviour support strategies.


Promote positive behaviour and support pupils with emotional regulation.


Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.


Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
