We are recruiting for a Registered Building Inspector (Class 2F) to deliver Building Control services across a local authority area. This role will involve carrying out plan assessments, site inspections and regulatory enforcement, ensuring compliance with building legislation and safety standards. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of projects and support the delivery of a safe and compliant built environment.

Key Responsibilities
Assess building regulation applications and undertake Class 2F plan checking activities.
Carry out site inspections across a range of domestic and non-domestic developments up to 18 metres in height.
Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act, Building Act, Building Regulations, London Building Acts and associated legislation.
Manage a portfolio of building control projects from application through to completion.
Undertake technical assessments and make regulatory decisions relating to building compliance.
Investigate breaches of legislation and support enforcement action where required.
Assess dangerous structures and coordinate appropriate emergency actions.
Provide technical guidance to customers, contractors and other stakeholders.
Support and supervise Registered Building Inspectors at lower registration classes where appropriate.
Skills and Experience
Experience undertaking plan checking and site inspections across the full Class 2F scope of work.
Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Building Regulations and associated legislation.
Experience managing building control projects from application through to completion.
Experience undertaking enforcement activities and regulatory decision-making.
Experience assessing dangerous structures is desirable.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction details.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. xwwtmva
