Whether you're an Assistant Project Manager ready to take the next step or an experienced Project Manager looking for greater ownership, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering consultancy delivering multidisciplinary design projects across the UK water sector.
We're expanding our Project Management team and are looking to recruit at both Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager level.
You'll work alongside highly experienced engineers, designers and project leaders, helping to deliver complex engineering design projects that make a real difference to the UK's water infrastructure.

Please note: Previous engineering design project experience is essential.
The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in delivering multidisciplinary engineering design projects, ensuring they're completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Depending on your level of experience, you'll either:
Assistant Project Manager (£45,000)
You'll support Project Managers in the successful delivery of projects while developing the skills and experience needed to progress into a Project Manager position.
You'll gain exposure to project planning, commercial management, NEC contracts, client engagement and multidisciplinary design coordination, with structured mentoring and clear career progression.
Project Manager (£55,000)
You'll take ownership of projects from inception through to completion, managing programme, budget, commercial performance and client relationships while leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentoring junior Project Managers.
What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities will include:
Delivering multidisciplinary engineering design projects within the water sector
Managing or supporting project programmes, budgets and delivery milestones
Coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and external supply chain partners
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
Supporting or managing NEC and other contract requirements
Monitoring project progress, risks, change and commercial performance
Assisting with or leading tender submissions and technical proposals
Reporting project performance to senior leadership
Driving collaboration across engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
Supporting and mentoring junior team members (Project Manager level)
About You
We're looking for ambitious individuals who enjoy working within collaborative engineering environments and want to build a long-term career delivering major infrastructure projects.
Assistant Project Manager
2–5 years' experience in engineering design, design coordination or design project management
Degree or HND in Engineering or a related discipline
Strong organisational and communication skills
A genuine ambition to develop into a Project Manager
Project Manager
Proven Project Management or Design Management experience
Experience delivering multidisciplinary engineering design projects
Strong understanding of programme management, commercial performance and project delivery
Experience managing clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
Strong understanding of engineering design project lifecycles
Desirable for Both
Experience within the UK water sector
Knowledge of NEC contracts
Experience with project planning, cost control and change management
Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering environments
Awareness of commercial and contractual principles
Experience contributing to tenders and client-facing activities
