Working Model: Hybrid, 2 Days a Week
We're partnering with Pancreatic Cancer UK, a charity working to ensure everyone affected by pancreatic cancer can live long and well. Through breakthrough research, campaigning for change and specialist support from expert nurses, it is taking on a disease where half of people currently die within three months of diagnosis. The charity is now appointing a Head of Data & Technology at a pivotal point in its development.
\nWith broad ownership across data, business systems, outsourced IT, infrastructure, cyber security and the emerging approach to AI, you'll create a clear and proportionate strategy, bring structure to competing priorities and give teams the direction and support they need. You'll also have the authority to challenge the existing outsourced model, improve strategic value and recommend how future internal capacity and investment should be shaped.
\nThis is not a role for a narrow data specialist or someone expected to be a technical expert in every area. We're looking for a pragmatic, delivery-focused leader with credible breadth across data and IT, someone who can translate complexity, set realistic expectations and take colleagues with them through meaningful organisational change.
