Make a Difference Where It Matters Most

Are you passionate about supporting young people who need extra guidance, understanding, and encouragement to succeed?

We are seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join schools as SEN/SEMH Assistants, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a highly rewarding role experienced Teaching Assistants, and for graduates and individuals considering careers in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling, Teaching, Youth Work, Social Work, or related fields.

The Role

  • Building positive and trusted relationships with students
  • Supporting emotional regulation and social development
  • Helping students engage with learning and classroom activities
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff
  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Acting as a positive role model throughout the school day

However, the most important qualities are empathy, patience, resilience, and a genuine desire to help young people overcome barriers to education.

What We're Looking For

  • A degree or relevant experience working with young people
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, proactive, and positive approach
  • The ability to remain resilient in challenging situations
  • A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, from September

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential.

Why Join?

  • Competitive pay of £92–£105 per day
  • Full-time, term-time only schedule
  • Valuable experience within education and SEN settings
  • Free access to our CPD Academy
  • The opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people's lives every day
  • Excellent preparation for careers in psychology, teaching, counselling, social work, youth justice, and mental health services

This role offers the chance to be a consistent source of support for young people who need it most, helping them develop the confidence, skills, and resilience to thrive both in and out of the classroom.
