Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a caring, motivated Nursing Associate Band 4 to join our inpatient team at Longleat Ward, Warminster. Our service is going through an exciting period of transformation, making this a fantastic time to become part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team.

As a Nursing Associate, you'll deliver high standards of holistic, person-centred nursing care, working closely with registered nurses and the wider multi-disciplinary team to support patients through every stage of their care.

Main duties of the job
As a Nursing Associate Band 4 on Longleat ward, you will:
  • Provide hands-on, person-centred care and support to an allocated group of patients, from admission through to discharge
  • Carry out clinical observations, including blood pressure, glucose levels and temperature, recording these accurately
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting registered nurses and other healthcare professionals
  • Deliver a delegated workload safely and effectively, applying sound clinical reasoning within your scope of practice
  • Build strong therapeutic relationships with patients and communicate effectively, including with those who have additional communication needs
  • Maintain accurate, contemporaneous records and feed back to the appropriate registered nurse

Essential
  • Registered as a Nursing Associate with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • Experience of working within a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practice
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with patients and colleagues
  • An ability to respond calmly and compassionately to people in distress

Desirable
  • Experience of managing patients with complex needs in an inpatient setting
