Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £39,959 per annum, with progression to £48,117 per annum (AfC Band 6)
Location: Tamworth, Burntwood and Lichfield - Hybrid working arrangements

About the role

Are you a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with a passion for delivering high-quality, low-intensity mental health interventions? Are you ready to take the next step in your career by developing your leadership and management skills within a supportive and forward-thinking Talking Therapies service?

As a Senior PWP, you will play a key role in leading and supporting our Step 2 team, helping to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and recovery-focused care for people experiencing common mental health problems.

Alongside managing your own clinical caseload, you will provide line management, case management and clinical supervision to Trainee and Qualified PWPs, supporting their professional development and maintaining high clinical standards. You will carry out assessments, risk assessments and deliver evidence-based low-intensity interventions in both one-to-one and group settings, while working closely with the Clinical Director, Senior Therapists and Step 2 Lead.

About you

We're looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes and supporting the development of others. You will be an approachable and confident leader, able to inspire colleagues, promote a positive team culture and provide high-quality supervision and support.

You will have a thorough understanding of anxiety and depression within primary care and be committed to delivering evidence-based, low-intensity interventions in line with the Step 2 model of care. Excellent communication, organisational and clinical decision-making skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a person-centred approach.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A recognised qualification as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP).
• A minimum of one year's post-qualification experience working as a PWP.
• Current registration with the BABCP or BPS.
• Experience of delivering evidence-based low-intensity interventions for common mental health problems.
• Experience of conducting clinical assessments, risk assessments and managing complex clinical presentations.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills, with the ability to support, motivate and develop others.
• A commitment to high-quality patient care, staff wellbeing and continuous service improvement.

It would also be advantageous if you have completed the Low Intensity (IAPT) Supervision Training and Low Intensity Long Term Conditions Training, although this is not essential.
