What You Will Do:
• Provide day-to-day HSE guidance across two operational sites, acting as the primary advisor to operational, engineering, and leadership teams.• Drive a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, employee engagement, and effective communication.• Conduct inspections, audits, and workplace assessments, ensuring risk assessments, method statements, and permit-to-work arrangements stay current and effective.• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, identifying root causes and ensuring robust corrective actions.• Support safe working practices for manufacturing processes involving composites, assembly, testing, lifting operations, machinery, and hazardous substances, with compliance to COSHH, PUWER, and LOLER.• Maintain environmental compliance across both sites by supporting waste management, recycling initiatives, and environmental improvement programmes.
What You Will Bring:
• Previous experience as an HSE Advisor, Health and Safety Manager, Health & Safety Advisor, SHE Advisor, EHS Advisor, or HSE Business Partner within manufacturing or similarly regulated environments.• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and environmental compliance, including experience producing clear reports following investigations.• IOSH Managing Safely (minimum) with a confident, practical approach to influencing stakeholders at all levels.• Demonstrable experience supporting production operations, including risk assessment, method statement review, and working with permits and safe systems of work.• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to coach managers and supervisors in effective HSE practices.
