Regional Trainer

North of England

Make a difference where it matters most

We’re proud to be recognised as the 2025 Housing with Care Employer of the Year – and we’re excited to welcome a new Regional Trainer covering, North of England.

You’ll be part of a compassionate, community-focused team that puts people first – every single day. #BeYourBest is more than a hashtag – it’s our commitment to helping our people grow, thrive, and feel valued. We’ll support you with the tools, training, and encouragement to reach your full potential, while celebrating your individuality and the difference you make every day.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest in our people and our services, celebrating individuality and helping you thrive both personally and professionally.

Your role

We are seeking a Housing Related Support Trainer to strengthen our current team to deliver quality training to our staff to enable them to provide excellent standards across a diverse Supported Living Service. In this role you will be responsible for the process of training design, delivery and evaluation, so you’ll have the opportunity to shape what we deliver! Sanctuary offer a blended approach to learning and development, using e-learning, webinars, face to face training and observation and evaluation.

Your skills

  • Utilising your previous experience of working within Housing/Supported Living and working within the regulatory framework, you will be skilled at identifying learning needs and evaluating learning and development programmes through observation and feedback.
  • You will support a cluster of schemes across the North of England ensuring that staff have access to on-going skills development, as required for working within Supported Living.
  • You will need to be hard working, have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team, and solely, whilst being remotely managed. Communication and organisational skills are therefore essential as you will work closely with people at all levels of the organisation, to ensure cost effective training is delivered appropriately and consistently, tailoring learning solutions and services to meet a wide variety of needs.
  • You will ideally hold Level 3 Education and Training certificate (or equivalent), CIPD certificate in training practice or have recent experience working in a similar role and the Housing/Supported Living Sector. Strong computer skills and experience of working to challenging deadlines are essential for success in this role.

  • If you have a passion for learning and development, coupled with an innovative, pragmatic and flexible approach, you will be equipped to meet the needs and add value to our fast-paced organisation. Frequent and overnight travel is a requirement of this role; therefore a full, current driving licence and flexibility is essential to travel across the region and other regions as requested.

Your rewards

You deserve more than the basics. That’s why, alongside 25 days’ annual leave pro rata (rising to 30, including bank holidays), occupational sick pay linked to length of service, and a contributory pension scheme, we’ve created a package to help you thrive:

  • Health and wellbeing support – including Aviva Digicare+ with virtual GP appointments, plus an Employee Assistance Programme offering medical, financial, and legal advice, as well as short-term counselling
  • Company-paid life insurance
  • Parental leave arrangements and annual leave purchase scheme
  • Company-funded training and ongoing career development opportunities
  • Flexible working options and an inclusive culture where everyone belongs, supported by our staff networks including PRISM, Disability, Race Equality and Parent networks
  • Exclusive retail discounts, Cycle to Work, and salary sacrifice arrangements

Some rewards are subject to a qualifying period or other criteria – visit our website for more information.
